A 26-year-old youth was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in the wee hours today near the Best Price outlet on the Zirakpur-Ambala highway here.
According to the police, the victim has been identified as Sangram Singh, a resident of Dori village in Pauri district, Garhwal. “He was crossing the road when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle. He was taken to the Civil Hospital where he was declared brought dead,” said the police.
The police identified the victim from an identity card found in his pocket.
The body has been kept at the mortuary. A case has been registered.
