Sony unveils the IP57-certified SmartWatch 2 with NFC

With announcement of the Xperia Z Ultra phablet, Sony announced the SmartWatch2. which is a third generation watch and also used as a secondary screen for your Android device. Design of this new watch is inspired by Xperia Z.

This SmartWatch is looking cool due to its sleek looks, a cool-looking aluminum power button, Android app interface and phone remote control, all-in-one as SONY said. Watch connects with phone or Tab via Bluetooth and it can show incoming calls, messages, music controls as well as well as give you Facebook and Twitter updates, show calendar AND WITH NFC.

The display is with 220 X 176 pixels color display that users can swipe through to read, even in sunlight because of its glare proof display. Sony’s SmartWatch will be compatible with devices running Android 4.0 and later, as well as Bluetooth 3.0.
The Sony SmartWatch 2 will be available worldwide from September, this year with a wide variety of standard 24mm wristbands as well as new Sony watchstraps. Pricing is yet to be confirmed. SmartWatch 2 will be available worldwide starting in Sept. 2013.
