Mere kohl thore jeh questions aa regarding sikh customs during marriage ceremonies.
Pehli gall... Pichle saal mere cousin da viah see india che. and jadon oh Canada nu vapas aaye, assi oh na di wedding video dekh di see, and jadon fehreh hunde see, mere cousin di mummy (my massi) othe nahi see. Assi massi ji nu puch ya vi thusi kyon nahi see gurdware? and oh kendeh vi ma puth diyan lavan nahi dekh di. Koi jaana menu eh gall please samja saakde? I dont understand why a mom isnt suppose to see her son's lavan. Is this something new because its the first time ive ever heard of such a thing.
Doosri gall... meri ek friend da viah see couple weeks ago and jadon kuri taan munda bethe see Guru Granth Sahib deh samne, Gurdware waale kehnde vi assi ek benthi kaarde vi kuri deh koi brothers please na utho. So they asked the girls brothers or guy cousins to remain seated and not help her around the Guru Granth Sahib during the lavan. However, the boys did not listen and they still got up and helped their sister. This is also the first time ive ever seen such a thing. Agge taan brothers always help karde apni sister nu. Do you think there is something wrong if brothers help? Eh gall kyon nahi pasand Gurdwaras nu? and for those of you in Punjab, do they do this over there too? Also, do you think this is fair?
Jaroor apne comment diyo, i just want to learn more about these customs and the reasons behind them.
