Good news for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users in India, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been rolled out. This will be an OTA (Over the Air) update, make sure to take a backup of your data before upgrading.
Some of you might have already got the update notification, if you haven’t you will get it within few days / weeks. The Android Marshmallow version 6.0.1 file size is around 1.4GB. Better use a WiFi connection to download the file.
When installing make sure the battery level is over 75%. These updates take time. It would be wise not to interrupt the update process, once initiated. The update should bring more stability and improve battery backup. Users will also get a new TouchWiz interface.
In case after the update some apps are not working, you can try re-installing those particular app. If the handset becomes unstable or you are facing a lot of issues, you can try the factory reset as a last option. If that works great, if not then visit the service center.
