Xiaomi is gearing up to roll out Marshmallow update on the Xiaomi Mi 4 and the Mi Note devices. The company had recently announced these two devices will get the latest android update, pretty soon.
A post on Weibo by MIUI manager confirms that the company is working to roll out Android 6.0 update for the Mi 4 and the Mi Note devices. It is in the testing stage and a beta will be make available for user testing, before the final roll-out.
It is also confirmed that the marshmallow update will not be an upgrade to MIUI 7 that is running Android 5.1. As of now the Mi 4 handset is running MIUI that is based on Android KitKat, so it is definitely good news for the Mi 4 users as they will get a direct upgrade to marshmallow.
So Mi 4 and Mi Note users watch out for the android 6.0 update coming soon.
