I recently came across this documentary featured on CBC (Canada), about politics and the Sikh religion. This documentary has been heavily criticized by the Sikh community here in Toronto as well as the rest of Canada. Upon watching it, you will understand why Sikhs here are so upset. However, after having watched it, i would like you all to share your views.
Please consider the following questions after you have watched it, and do share your responses:
Do you agree/disagree with the portrayal of Sikhs in this documentary
Why or why not?
Do you think what the journalist is saying is correct? Is he decribing the reality of the situation or is this completely biased?
And share any other opinions you have on this also...
I have my own opinion about it, but i wont say anything just yet, so i will save it till some of you have given your views. Please try to remember that what is shown in this video has not been altered, in other words, what you see is what the cameraman saw at the vasakhi parades.
The documentary also has a lot do with Canadian politics, and not all of you may be familiar with our political system, but try to grasp the jist of the video.
This is the link: CBC.ca | The National | Archive | Politics/Economy | Canada's Political Culture</SPAN>
Please also note that there is a link to part two, directly below that video screen.
Lastly.... DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT kill each other over your opinions on khalistan. Give your views rationally and with utmost respect for those who may not agree with you and avoid the heated arguments that often occur within this section.
