ਸਿਵ ਸਕਤਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇ ਕੈ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਵਰਤਾਏ ॥
Siv sakat aap oupaae kai karataa aapae hukam varataaeae ||
The creator (Akaal Purakh ji ) Himself created Shiva and Shakti,
soul and matter (maaya);the Creator subjects them to His Command.

Now I am bit confused here, I though 'bahaguati (Shakti)' as in 'Sri Bhagauti Ji Sahay' is the Super God who created everything.

Hunn tusi keh rahe ke Akaal Purakh ne Shakti banayi.

So....? Wuts wrongn devi ....??? Sikhs have their own devi....... sikhism talks about guruDev.....you are trying to read english with punjabi dictionary ....not going to happen....... and my mistake I thght ur getting the concept.......

To Interpret Gurbani you must have some understanding of Hindu mythology and an open mind or you'll just jump to conclusions.

bhajji tusi taah 2-3 din ch sari gurbani sikhan nu firde oo..keep patience man...sabar karo...ik sikh di sari omar beet jandi aa gurbani sikhde sikhde ..
tusi roj Nitnem kariya karo,,,holi holi thuhanu gurbani di samjh aaun lag jani aa..don t rush veeer ji,,, veer ji appa math ja science di book 3-4 din ch taah yaad kar lainde??

Sikhism Respect Other Faiths
..not only sikhi,,,,Islam and Christianity are so obsessed and interested in Hinduism ..because only Hinduism believe in 33 crore gods. and every god was in human body..no one know how??? [my opinions]
Sikhism is not against hindu beliefs about shiv ji,,,Sikhism is against superstitions ,and in gurbani there is no shabad which says hindu s should not worship shiv ji or shakti ..

according to gurbani Shiva ji or shakti were not god they were king of satyug or whatever
According to Gurbani Shiva, Vishnu, or Brahma were kings of their respective times. However they are not given any importance or significance at all. Gurmat does not accept them as God nor as incarnations of God. Like any other human beings, they had virtues and they had weaknesses. Gurbani says:
ਜੁਗਹ ਜੁਗਹ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੀਏ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ॥
ਤਿਨ ਭੀ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਆਖਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥੭॥
"In each and every age, God creates the kings, who are sung of as His Incarnations. Even they have not found God's limits; what can I speak of and contemplate? ||7||"

A little learning is a dangerous thing;
ਸੁਅਸਤਿ ਆਥਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਰਮਾਉ

Most people read it as...

ਸੁਅਸਤਿ ਆਥਿ, ਬਾਣੀ ਬਰਮਾਉ

but Professor Sahib Singh has said that the word ਆਥਿ refers to maya...the full panktee is translated as follows...

(ਹੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ!) ਤੇਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਜੈ ਹੋਵੇ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਸ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਇਆ, ਬਾਣੀ ਜਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਨ ਰੱਖੇ ਹਨ।)

Wouldn't this make the bishram as follow's

ਸੁਅਸਤਿ, ਆਥਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਰਮਾਉ

Meanings, i take support of Akal Purakh, who is himself Maya, who is himself Bani, and who is himself Brahma

If we do it as in the first way, that would mean i take support of Maya.

when guru ji ish duniya ch aaye..taah ohna dekhiya ke people believe that a bramha is god of creation of this world ,according to Hindus this man created the world.

now guru ji says in Japji sahib that,,if there is someone who created world ..if there is any bramha then He is only akal purakh,,not a man with 5 faces....
