In a shocking incident, a mother-daughter duo killed a two-hour old baby girl by throwing her from the window of a two-storied apartment. The incident took place near Palanpur Jakat Naka of Surat in Gujarat. The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera that was installed in the society premises.
The incident came to light after the baby girl was found dead in the parking lot of the apartment. Police said that the infant died of severe injuries following the fall. The infant's death sent shockwaves across the neighbourhood.
After discovering the dead infant, one of the residents informed the police who rushed to the spot. The residents were in for yet another shock after investigations revealed that the heinous crime was committed by one of their neighbours. The police were able to trace the mother-daughter duo after they examined the CCTV footage.
BABY MURDERED TO ESCAPE HUMILIATION
Police said that infant was flung out of the window by a mother and daughter who stayed in the second floor. According to the police, the daughter who is a minor give birth to a child after an illicit affair. In order to conceal the shame and escape humiliation, the minor and her mother flung the baby out of the window.
The police said that the baby was delivered in the house. Within two hours of the delivery the mother and daughter threw the baby out of the window.
Sources from the police said that the family is from Uttar Pradesh and that the minor girl was in a relationship with a man she met at a wedding in Uttar Pradesh.
Both the minor girl and her mother has been arrested by the police. The police have also began investigations to track down the man who impregnated the minor girl.
