She attended The British School in New Delhi and Balliol College, Oxford.

With a sure shot at a career in tinsel town because of her obvious royal background, the actress before entering the film industry worked with the Ford Foundation and Citibank. She serves on the advisory board of a new project of the public entrepreneur group, Res Publica.

Recently the actress had modeled for the spring-summer collection of Globus, an Indian chain of boutiques.

During the filming of the phenomenal Rang De Basanti, reports had become romantically involved with her co-star Siddharth Narayan. The actress, however, never gave any confirmation.

Soha embarked upon her career in Bollywood with Dil Maange More in 2004 where she shared screen space with Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia and Tulip Joshi. While the film held some entertainment value, it did not do well at the box-office.

She was next seen in Pyaar Mein Twist where she played Dimple Kapadia's daughter Riya. The film also starred Rishi Kapoor and did fairly well.

In David Dhawan's multi-starrer Shaadi No. 1, Soha played the role of a dissatisfied wife whose husband is cheating on her. Her performance in this movie was average.

10-13.jpg

In the Bengali film Antar Mahal she played the role of a traumatized second wife of a wealthy and oppressive Zamindar who is physically drawn towards a sculptor, Abhishek Bachchan. For her performance in this movie she was critically appreciated and it was evident that the actress had acquired skill over the years.

Soha got her first real break in 2005 courtesy the blockbuster Rang De Basanti. The film was chosen as India's official entry for the 79th Academy Awards despite stiff competition from films such as Krrish and Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

The emotionally exhausting scenes in Antarmahal often left her washed out, thus requiring "a lot of personal overhauling" to ensure that her performance in RDB was unaffected.

Shivam Nair directed Soha opposite Abhay Deol in Ahista Ahista where she plays a dejected girl. The movie was inspired by White Nights.

13-10.jpg

In 2007, she starred opposite Shiney Ahuja in Khoya Khoya Chand. She looked fabulously earthy in the movie and fans drew comparisons with mother Sharmila. Her acting also received critical acclaim.

Mumbai Meri Jaan tells five multiple stories, one of which revolves around Rupali Joshi( Soha), a successful reporter. Her performance here was also applauded by many.

15-9.jpg

The same year she was also seen in Dil Kabaddi with Rahul Bose , Irrfan Khan and Konkana Sen Sharma. The movie follows Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives and delves into modern metropolitan relationships.

16-7.jpg

Set in a ‘time when Mumbai wants to be Shanghai' , Tera Kya Hoga Johnny had Soha in a supporting role with child artist Sikander as the male lead.

17-7.jpg

In 2009, the actress' first release was Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge. Seen opposite Sonu Sood, Presh Rawala and Kunal Khemu the movie failed at the box-office.

18-6.jpg

With cricket controversies of the year 1999 as the backdrop 99 failed to impress us. The multi starrer was rated as an average movie.

19-4.jpg

Kunal Deshmukh brought Emraan Hashmi and Soha together in Tum Mile which has a story revolving around the 2005 rains in Mumbai bringing together two ex-lovers. The movie opened to mixed reviews.

In 2009, the lady also hosted a game show called Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo on the small screen. Soha was seen graciously giving away homes to couple, who competed and the show got a lot of views.
