Soha Ali Khan gets Deepa Mehta’s 'Midnight’s Children'

Things are falling in place for Deepa Mehta’s ambitious project - the screen adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s Booker Prize winning novel Midnight’s Children. After signing Shabana Azmi, Nandita Das, Seema Biswas and Irrfan Khan, Deepa has got Soha Ali Khan for the film.

Lucky Soha, she is too excited about the project which is planned for next year release. She is quoted by a daily, “I have never worked with someone as senior as Deepa, so it is an honour for me.”

Last, the actress was seen in Tum Mile, which had an average run at the box office; but Soha who is tagged as a serious actress likes to do off-beat films and has proved her caliber in films like Mumbai Meri Jaan.

Her next releases are Accident with Shiney Ahuja, Chemistry with Shreyas Talpade, and Phone Thief.
