Ingredients
Chicken skinned and cut into 1 inch pieces on the bone750 grams
Onions steeped in vinegar10-12 small
Oil 3 tablespoons
Onions 2 medium
Cloves 8-10
Fat light green chillies 16
Ginger-garlic paste 1 1/2 tablespoons
Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Fresh tomato puree 1/2 cup
Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
Method
Step 1
Heat oil in a large non-stick pan. Slice onions.
Step 2
Add cloves and onions to the pan. Slit green chillies, without cutting through, and roast them on direct flame.
Step 3
Add ginger-garlic paste to the pan, mix and sauté. Add chicken, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
Step 4
Add fresh tomato puree and roasted green chillies and mix well. Cover and cook.
Step 5
Add small onions steeped in vinegar, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and mix. Add 1 cup water and mix. Cover and cook.
Step 6
Add garam masala powder and mix. Cover and cook till chicken is completely done.
Step 7
Transfer into a serving dish and serve hot.
