Shahrukh Khan to Undergo Surgery

Shahrukh Khan to Undergo Surgery

He might be the Baadshah of Bollywood, but that doesn't make Shahrukh Khan invincible. We've come to learn the 43 year old star needs to undergo surgery on his left shoulder! If you saw the latest episode of Farhan Akhtar's show 'Oye Its Friday' then you would've noticed that Shahrukh's left hand was in a cast. Well it turns out the injury is more serious then everyone first though it was. After the star wnet in for an MRI scan in the US, it was determined that he needed surgery if he ever wanted to perform his own stunts in films again.
Ever since 2003 Shahrukh Khan has had a tear in his left shoulder and unfortunately while doing stunts for the film, 'Dulha Mil Gaya' he injured it further. So what does this mean? Well now Shahrukh has to decide whether to have his surgery in India, Los Angeles or London. The good news? He can go home as early as 12 hours after the operation. The bad news? It can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months to completely heal! Knowing Shahrukh Khan though, he'll be up and running in no time. Remember when he had back problems in 2003, and still filmed 'Kal Ho Na Ho' even though he was in immense pain?
But get this, if a 'normal' person had the same problem he or she wouldn't require surgery. What do we mean? Well Shahrukh's doctor, Dr Ali Irani was quoted as saying, 'Even if you and I have this problem, we may not need surgery if we are not going to jump around or play cricket or do a fight scene. But Shahrukh Khan wants do everything, which is why he needs surgery. Moreover, he has an action film coming up after six months. But it's not an emergency case. It will be a planned surgery."
Well, we hope Shahrukh is feeling better and wish him well on his surgery and a speedy recovery!
