Now You Can Hide ‘Read Receipts’ Or Blue Tick In WhatsApp
A few days back WhatsApp introduced new “blue tick” aka Read Receipts in its app. The feature allowed users to confirm whether another user has read their message or not. But it seems like it didn’t received good popularity. The company is releasing a new version of app allowing users to disable the read receipts.
The new WhatsApp with version 2.11.44 comes with an option to disable the read receipt. Well, it seems like this latest version is currently only available on WhatsApp official website, so it might take a few days to reach the Google Play Store.
The latest version of WhatsApp also comes with the support for heads-up notifications, which was introduced in Android with the launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop. The feature is simple, if the user is currently working on something else or is working on some another app then the heads-up notifications will be shown at the top of the display for a short period of time. Users can also dismiss it right from that place.
