A minor from Bihar has accused her husband of putting her on sale. Lal Pari (16), Satrain Singh of Chintamadi in Bihar and at present, staying at Hassanpur village as a tenant, has complained against her husband Sudhir Karan, a Nepalese, that he put her on sale for Rs 10,000 and also allegedly pushed her into flesh trade.
She said her father had died when she was a child and her mother was deaf and mute. She said her uncle sold her to Sudhir Karan about six months ago and he bought her to Punjab and forced her into flesh trade.
He used to send her to customers and sometimes brought them home. He would beat her when she objected. On December 16, she alleged that he took her to Ludhiana to sell her, but returned as the buyer did not turn up.
Her landlady Surinder Kaur and other neighbours were upset at her condition. SI Nishan Singh said they had received her complaint and were investigating the matter.
