Kal raat da menu si - fish in mustard sauce, mezze platter, jaloepeno poppers & veg money bags... saareyan di recipe ik ik karke paundi aa ethe
Fish in mustard sauce
Get some fish , i use singhada or basa cuz these stink the least
Marinate d fish for an hour with salt, haldi & lemon
soak 3-4 tablespoons of yellow mustard seeds in water (again for an hr)
Fry the fish in mustard oil(ensure u heat the oil to the smoking point)
take the fish out & blot the oil on a tissue
In the same oil fry ginger garlic onion paste
grind few green chilies & the mustard seeds together (dont make the paste too fine)
add this to the pan, fry for few more mins (not too much cuz d seeds may get bitter)
add masalas a little more salt, cumin power, lal mirch and a lil bit of cheeni
now drop the fish in this sauce.. add a lil water n simmer
to make it more yum i added honey instead of cheeni & sum vinegar & more lemon juice..
it was finger licking good
serve it with rice if u want, i served it as a dry starter
