Dear All,
I believe that religion is an important part of the culture, but this is in no way related to any particular religion. A huge part of Punjab and Punjabi culture are Hindus and if someone disrespects any religion, in general, and Sikhism or Hinduism in particular, it is our duty to do something about it. Please let me explain this more specifically.
Last year, at the Holloween party, model Heidi Klum dressed as a Hindu Goddess Kali and went to a club. She kissed other people, drank alcohol, danced, and worst of all on hearing Nelly's song "hot in here" said "I want to take my arms off." This was a cheap publicity stunt on her part and she never apologized despite learning that her actions hurt Hindu sentiments.
Heidi Klum does not respect anyone's religious sentiments. We posted this text on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heidi_Klum):
In 2008, Klum dressed as the Hindu goddess Kālī for a Halloween party. She was not aware that goddess Kali killed only the unjust, and not just anyone.http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Heidi_Klum&diff=303846497&oldid=303845558#cite_note-44 In Hindu religion, goddess Kali is considered one of the first feminist goddess ideas as she fought over injustices done to women. Some of my friends and I have been fighting a virtual war on Wikipedia to ensure that this information is conveyed to other people around the world who did not hear about this. However, many editors have deleted our text by putting some nonsensical arguments. Some of the examples of these are, as quoted in their own words:
1. This is a "one-time event at party in New York"
2. "Someone has initiated an email campaign. This, in itself, means almost nothing. A president of an academy in South Africa urged a boycott. So? Was there a boycott?" This was not us, but someone else. We tried contacting him and he said many people replied and said we would actually boycott products endorsed by Heidi.
3. "This source is political rabble-rousing." We cited Time of India.
Please we need your help. here I am providing all the sources we cited. Please find more sources and help us fight these editors in keeping this text.
