Dhillon veer eh photo dhyan naal dekh lo..what were you saying? 2 ghuta waliya girls di ik ghut kat dinde si??in this picture Hindu girls came in Golden temple to meet Sant ji,,and if you see most of girls are with two ghuts or pony tails ...now if it was not allow to do 2 pony tails in punjab by so called terrorists.then what these girls are doing in Harimandir sahib with 2 ghuts and without salwar kameez??you see some women are in saari an a little girl is in skirt...
and you are saying Sant ji were killing Hindus and force people to follow code of conduct.,,,where is safron or orange chunni of these girls.? ehna girls de taah head v fully cover ni haige

You have great thaughts .....and theres no harm in sticking to particular culture......trouble happens when you try to impose it over others .....I mean nobody likes talibanisation of any religion ....sikhism particularly impose very little restrictions. ...its a religion of awareness...not dareness

same as its NOT ok to wear a hat in courts
or NOT ok to wear shorts in church
shorts are not even accepted for men in gurdwaras

1.)during those times, it was prohibited for the low class people to wear turban or carry weapons ....... and Patshai 10 announced that anybody visiting Anandpur should have head covered and carry a weapon ....(to enhance the morale)
ultimately it became a tradition to always cover head before visiting adi granth
2.) kitchen of guru ghar was quite famous, modern and hygienic during those times
anybody working in the kitchen had to take fullest care of sanitary
washing hands exiting and entering
covering heads all the times
covering mouths (beards)
even today the nihung singhs practice all these and even cover there face while preparing meals
slowly these turned into traditions , there is nothing spiritual about this

Nothing is allowed or disallowed, but people get uncomfortable if they see jean / capri wearing girls in a Gurdwara.

because first they Ogle and then they feel guilty for ogling and for the guilt they blame 'jeans'
