As the Pakistan government continues to speak in different voices on terror, there is one question that is increasingly coming into sharp focus for India and the international community.

They want to know who is in control in Pakistan -- the civilian government led by President Asif Ali Zardari or the Pakistani Army or the ISI?

And according to a survey on the performance of the Zardari government, there seems to a tide of public opinion within Pakistan in favour of PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif, a coalition partner in the government.

There already appears to be a growing rift between Sharif and Zardari. On Friday, Sharif caused a huge embarrassment for Zardari by saying that Qasab, the lone terrorist captured during the Mumbai siege, is indeed a Pakistani.
