UAE to see disruption in Internet traffic

Dubai: Internet traffic in the UAE will see disruption as an undersea cable in the Mediterranean Sea broke down unexpectedly, etisalat statement said today.
The telecom operator is working to re-route traffic, using its network of cables that link the region to Asia, Europe and USA.
It has prioritized business customers to minimize the impact of the breakdown of the international submarine cable provided by Sea-ME-We 4, that connects Alexandria and Marseilles.
