The State Bank of India has yet again announced a revision in its charges, which will be applicable from today, June 1.

Following the government’s demonetisation move in November last year and its stress on digitisation, SBI had earlier announced a revision in its service charges, effective from April 1. Some of the changes that were announced include a minimum balance of Rs 3000 to be maintained, Rs 10 service charge for more than five ATM withdrawals, and Rs 50 to be paid per deposit after the first three transactions.

However, the bank has again announced a revision in its charges as a large section its customers felt that the April 1 charges were too high.

The new charges, applicable from today, are as follows:

In addition to the above-mentioned charges, the charges which became applicable from April 1 remain the same.

The bank has also announced that BSBD (Basic Savings Bank Deposit) account holders can now make only four withdrawals in a month, including ATM withdrawals, free of charge.
