The Twilight actor, 26, had to have elocution lessons to reclaim his English accent because he has spent too much time in LA.
Christina Ricci, 27, his co-star in the film Bel Ami, in which he plays a penniless Casanova in 1890s France, told US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel: “They hired an accent coach as Rob’s spent a lot of time in LA.
“He made fun of me as I was trying to be British and sounded like a Hollywood valley girl.”
The Twilight actor, who was educated at the Harrodian school in South-West London, revealed earlier that he feels “naked” when using his real accent in a film.
