Their film Anjaana Anjaani got postponed to October 1 because of the Allahabad High Court’s verdict on the long standing Ayodhya land dispute case. But more important than the run of their film is the verdict and people’s reaction to it. Both Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor aren’t unaware of it and are urging the general public to maintain peace and harmony after the verdict.

“We are known for our unity. If you disagree with the verdict please don't resort to violence. There are peaceful methods to resolve it. Please maintain peace and order,” Ranbir said at a press conference on Thursday.

Priyanka too voiced a similar sentiment. She said: “Whatever may be the verdict, we should maintain peace and harmony as it is a very important day for India.”

A lot of other Bollywood celebs joined Ranbir and Priyanka in urging the people to show calm and restraint.

Farhan Akhtar, Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Sophie Choudhary, filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar and Sajid Khan and producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Ritesh Sidhwani came together to make an appeal for peace.
