Pokemon fans looking forward to the release of Pokemon Black and Pokemon White now have a date for their diaries. Nintendo has announced that the latest two games in the series will be released for the DS on March 6, 2011.
As with previous games, White and Black versions of the game offer up 150 new Pokemon to collect, but each game also has an exclusive Pokemon to catch. Unlike previous games, Nintendo has decided to offer more incentives to purchase both versions. For the first time there are different areas contained in each game:
The game world of Pokemon Black Version featuring a unique metropolitan area called Black City, and a lush, green area named White Forest only found in Pokemon White Version.
A final new feature is the introduction of seasons. Black and White are the first Pokemon games to have changing seasons allowing for certain types of Pokemon to appear more frequently depending on the time of year.
Both games are no available to pre-order with the price set at $34.99 each, although you should be able to find them slightly cheaper at certain retailers.
