The Gharinda police station, situated close to the international border, today registered a case against Pakistan national Shahbaz (24) for illegal entering into the Indian side The BSF had arrested him yesterday from the Pul Kanjri area.

Sources said nothing objectionable was found from him and efforts were being made to send him back to his country. However, the Pakistan Rangers have refused to accept him as their national. BSF officials have decided to hand him over to the police for further legal action.

However, Shahbaz claimed that he was son of Miraz Din and his family lived in Gujaranwala district.

Meanwhile, a patrolling party of the BSF arrested two more Pakistani nationals for illegaly entering into the Indian territory from the border outpost, Kahangarh. They gave their identification as Abid Ali (23) of Sahewal district and Imtiyaz Ali (20) of Faislabad district.

Sources said both of them had not been handed over to the police, as talks were under progress with the Pakistan Rangers to return them to their native country. Both of them maintained that they had inadvertently crossed over to the Indian side.
