Neighbours await Dhoni's arrival with Sakshi
Ranchi: Neighbours of Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni here are eagerly awaiting his arrival with his newly-wed bride Sakshi Singh Rawat, saying they would be ready with folk songs and other activities.
Dhoni got married to 23-year-old Sakshi, a hotel management student, at a private ceremony on July 4 in Dehradun, attended only by family members and close friends, including a few of his team-mates.
"We are ready with folk songs and other fun activities," said Richa, Dhoni`s neighbour at the Harmu housing colony here.
"We were not invited to their house-warming party, but expect an invitation if the family host a marriage reception," another neighbour V H Ambast said.
Asked how they feel to be neighbour of a celebrity, Sunita said, "Is there any doubt about feeling good?"
"Actually we are feeling like our own son has got married. We are very delighted," she added.
Two years ago, the Harmu Housing Colony had filed a case against Dhoni for constructing a swimming pool that the neighbours believed would deplete groundwater level.
But later they withdrew the petition.
"Don`t remind such things as those things do happen in one`s life," another neighbour said when asked whether he regretted filing petition.
Meanwhile, Dhoni`s fans are ready to celebrate his 29th birthday tomorrow by cutting huge cakes, distributing sweets and other programmes.
