Bad news for gamers, a German court in Mannheim ruled earlier this morning that Microsoft has actually infringed upon Motorola Mobility’s patents, and hence have requested Microsoft to stop selling their hugely popular Xbox 360 gaming consoles as well as Windows 7 operating system from the German market.
With Germany being the biggest of the markets in Europe, this would definitely have a huge impact on Microsoft.
Motorola, which is being acquired by Google, went on the offensive after Microsoft sued the phone maker in 2010 over what it deemed to be “wholly disproportionate” licensing fees for technology used in Xbox 360.
