One of the attractions during Microsoft’s pre-E3 press conference was the unveiling of the next edition of the multi-billion dollar sci-fi FPS franchise—Halo. The new Halo games is expected to hit store shelves some time in 2014, and as is usual for the series, will be exclusive to the Xbox One.

Bonnie Ross, Studio Head of developer 343 Industries showcased a trailer of the yet to be released game during her presentation. The trailer featured series protagonist Master Chief wandering through a desert and encountering a large spaceship that turned into a flying mech with wings.

Talking about Halo‘s debut on Xbox One, Ross said, “This will be the first game in the franchise enhanced by the power of cloud computing, dedicated servers and (running) at a blistering 60 frames per second (fps).”

The latest addition to the Halo franchise is expeceted to be bigger and better

It would be interesting to see how the next edition of the first person shooter game performs on the next-gen console as Ross, during the presentation promised some serious changes in the dimensions of the game that would give the player a better feel.

Microsoft, initially had referred the game as "Halo Xbox One", and teased that “the next chapter of the award-winning Xbox franchise developed by 343 Industries that will take you on a new journey in the Halo universe beginning in 2014". As no other details regarding the game was revealed during the conference, we'll just have to wait for more information.
