Originaly isda matlab see ki Guru ji apne ghar layiyo and path karo... as u know Sri Guru Granth Saahib ji is our Guru so think of it as Guru.. Guru ji apne ghar layiyo and then listen to what Guru ji says... and how can we listen to it, well do path as whatever Guru wanna tell us is all there in Sri Guru Granth Saahib ji.. so originally isda yeh matlab see and it was for whole family... like everyone in family should do path together and in round robin fashion like take turns to do akhand path.. Have u ever heard 'THE family that prays together, stays together'.. and thats why akhand path see and ik bande ne din raat nai see krna but all members of familly in turns....and it even golds true for listening to Akhand path as iko banda nai sun sakda...

Yeah Bai u r right, not blindly.. just see the reasons & think about the reasons and why this & why that in our religion.. Beleive me Man, sikhism is most logical & most technical religion and yaar if u just think a bit, you can get answer for everything and once you have the answer, you dont have to do anything blindly...

Bai.. to this question.. i will say apne vicho kaun kaun hai, jo baani samajhan di try vi karda hai... yaar just an analogy, we study science, maths and all and we all try to learn it and if we didnt understand something, we go for tutors and we make an attempt to understand what it is.. but can you say you do the same for Gurbani as welll.. Its very easy to say ki saanu smajah nai aundi and Granthi das sakde ne and all.. but yaar how many of us actually try it.....Sri Guru Granth Saahib is written in common spoken language and its in poetry, thats why its kinda difficult to understand.. but give it one sincere try, its much more easy then you guys think....
Banni is very simple yaar.. believe me very simple but u got to try & understand it.. and yaar there is translation available in hindi, english, german, frecnh and other languages... so read gurbani & translate it and understand what it actually means... If you want i can give u
Computerised SGGS, whcih have meanings of everything.. but ask yourself, will you have time or the WILL to do it and understand...

haan Ruble you are right.. ajkal its a mere show off.. and i agree to it.. but yaar these things dont bother me and i cant leave going to gurughar... yaar these people who do it are ignorant and they dont know anything and that doesnt mean that i should be like them or just because of them, i should stop going to gurughar.. naah !!! yaar jithe yehe jehe log ne show off vale, uthe bahut proper log vi nee.. i can give u many examples and yaar as u r in Sydney so i can personally show u those persons and u can even talk to them and straight away you can feel the difference...

Mitra... gurbaani nu kis preacher di lod nai.. vaise vi agar preacher parrot vaangu padi jaave, then what will u understand probably nothing.. yaar u r in IT, u must have made many attempts to understand networking, software development, IP configuring and what not.. but ask yourself have u ever given a sincere try to Gurbaani... Mitra.. i can give you something, which is easy to understand and it even has a help on how to pronounce Baani.. but tere kol TIME & WILL hai...

According to gurbaani.. Rab koi supernatural power nai hai..and rabb nu pana yaar kuch ani hai.. RAB sab de andar hunda hai... and DEVil or shaitan vi sab de andar hi hunda hai.. so its upto you, ki tusi ki krna chahunde ho.. Rab nu milna is basically nothing, but apne andar de shaitan nu maarna hai bas...
