Lenovo Phab 2 With 6.4-inch Display Launched in India

Lenovo Phab 2 smartphone, featuring a 6.4-inch display and 4050mAh battery, was launched in India on Tuesday. Priced at Rs. 11,999, the Lenovo Phab 2 will be available in India starting Friday and will be come in Gunmetal Grey and Champagne Gold colours. As teased earlier, the Lenovo Phab 2 will be available via Flipkart.

The company already unveiled the Phab 2 Plus in India last month priced at Rs. 14,999, though there is still no word when Lenovo plans to launch the Phab 2 Pro, the Tango-ready phone, in India.

To refresh, the Lenovo Phab 2 is a Phab 2 Plus variant with some downgrades. The Phab 2 sports a lower resolution screen, camera is also downgraded, and there is no fingerprint scanner on the handset.

For specifications, the Lenovo Phab 2 features a 6.4-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The Phab 2 packs 32GB of inbuilt storage with the option to expand further via microSD card (up to 128GB). For imaging, Lenovo Phab 2 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF while there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an 85-degree wide-angle lens. Lenovo has also claimed that the Phab 2 comes with augmented reality (AR) effects in camera app. The handset comes with 3 mics to record audio and also supports noise cancellation.



Lenovo Phab 2 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports a hybrid dual-SIM slot (both Micro-SIMs). The Phab 2 smartphone measures 175x88.5x9.6mm, and weighs 225 grams. Connectivity options of Lenovo Phab 2 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS support. It packs a massive 4050mAh battery, and was launched in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey colour options.
