Last week LaCie introduced the tiny Moskeyto portable flash drive. This week the focus is on speed with the introduction of two new USB 3.0 desktop hard drives.
The two new drives carry the names Minimus and Rikiki. The Rikiki is for the mobile user who wants a very slim drive, but lots of storage. It has 500GB of storage space in a case that measures 75 x 118.5 x 13.4mm and weighs 176 grams.

The Minimus is meant for the desktop and offers 1TB of storage space in a case measuring 110.7 x 29.4 x 172.8mm and weighing 850 grams.
Both drives come with LaCie Setup Assistant, LaCie Backup Assistant (PC and Mac), 10GB Wuala Secure Online Storage (1 year included), and a 2-year limited warranty. They are compatible with Windows 7, Vista, and XP, as well as Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6.
The casing on both these drives is a brushed aluminium which LaCie has used to help with heat dissipation as well as allowing it to be recyclable.
The Rikiki costs $99.99 while the Minimus is $129.99. Both are available now from the LaCie online store.
