After having beaten England 3-2 in the recently concluded ODI series, Sri Lanka have leapfrogged India into the second position of the ICC ODI rankings.

The series win helped Sri Lanka gain one rating point, and they moved up to 112 points, the same as India, but were placed ahead when calculated beyond the decimal point. Australia continued to stay at the top with 115 points.

Virat Kohli, with 889 points, remains at the top of the ladder in the batting rankings. Mahendra Singh Dhoni retained his sixth position, while Shikhar Dhawan slipped one position to eight. India's Rohit Sharma is the newest entrant to the top-20. He is placed in the 20th position with 627 points.

England's James Tredwell and Sri Lanka's Sachithra Senanayake, recently reported for illegal action, are the biggest gainers in the bowler's rankings. While Tredwell jumped 18 places to a career best 12th spot with 627 points, Senanayake moved 20 places up, from 33rd to 13th, with 623 rating points.

Ravindra Jadeja, the only Indian in the top-10, slipped a spot and is placed 5th in the rankings with 676 rating points.
