Vbulletin doesn't support Flash Avatars and Signatures.....

and i think flash will make forum more heavy for Dial Up users...

I'd like a cool flash signature, not just for here but to advertise UnP on other sites.

sorry but both of your """facts""" are wrong

* vbullitin supports flash all the way..

Code:
http://www.wedoourownstunts.com/forum/
i am a member there

* Flash is lighter than anything really...you see my footer image?
if that is 90 kb, the swf output wud be not more thn 15.7 kb's with much better quality.(check attachment)

my footer file is 181 kb's
my flash file would be 16 kb's...better animated and cleaner graphics...

we will set rules for swf footers

Dimensions = 400 X 100 pix
File Size = not more than 30 kb's
Sound = optional but on start should be mute with on and off sound controller..(optional option really...we can do without sound as well)

Allowing everyone to use flash in signatures can pose some security issues.A lot can be done by flash scripting to de-face a site.

By installing a hack you can let the users use flash for avatars and signatures. Security issues as well as durability questions are there....

ones in a while a forum ...mind u a huge forum with over 20,000 active people on there and as popular as them get hacked by a super intelligent hacker and it also takes a while, its by no mean easy...and we can have a look at every flash footer and add another rule of no javascript or calling any data from 3rd party source....kirupa was hacked and thats only coz of the reasons i gave above...my 3000 posts were deleted by that jerk too...

another rule would be > animation, effect..static..no usage of highend action or java script, i am sure if wedoourownstunts people (who are my friend) are taking that chance...when they have more chance of getting hacked as their target audience is all computer pro's and stuff...here we'v got people who just love to interact, 90% of people i doubt even know about flash and m gona end up making their footers lol....worth a try, dont u think?

600??? whoa ...toomuch mate, i was gona say 300 X 60 lol
think 400 X 150 or 100 is good enough space to do whatever u want in flash:)
