It's the end of the year 2014 and Facebook has brought back its Year in Review feature for users, creating a personalised timeline of the highlights of the year complete with photos and statuses.
Users can customise their Year in Review timelines as well, with Facebook allowing users to add up to four photos for each month in the year gone by along with a description. It also lets users add new nameable sections, which can have their own photos and description.

Once done customising highlights, the Year in Review timeline can be shared by posting on the user's own Timeline or wall. Users will also be able to customise their Year in Review timelines on mobile via Facebook's dedicated apps.

You can check out your Year in Review timeline by visiting this page when already logged in. Let us know how you think Facebook has handled its Year in Review offering this year, in the comments section. You can also check out Facebook's Year in Review top 10 charts, with data gleaned over the course of 2014 showcasing the most talked-about topics from across the world and more than a billion users.

Earlier this year, on its 10th anniversary, Facebook had created a different sort of Year in Review for users - a Look Back video. Very much like a Year in Review compilation, except in video form, a Look Back video highlighted the biggest events from the user's entire time on the social network - not just the year gone by.

The social networking giant had then called it a "small gesture to thank the over one billion people who are on Facebook by providing a unique way to look back at some of their biggest moments."

Facebook had in November also launched the Say Thanks tool, which let users create personalised video cards for their friends.
