The Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD)-BJP alliance has got 67 seats while Congress has got 44 seats. The SAD and BJP break up is 48 and 19. Five independents have won and no other party including BSP could open its account in the 116 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha in results declared on Tuesday. polling in Beas segment will be held on March 11.

Dullo PPCC president tasted defeat.He was defeated by Basant singh Khalsa's son in KHANNA assembly....even badal won on margin of less than 10,000 votes...

Hira Singh Gabria SAD candidate from Ludhiana(rural) sat has won with the highest margin of 48676 voters in the Punjab assembly elections whereas Jagdish Sahni of BJP was lucky to win with the lowest margin of only 86 votres from Batala assembly constituency.

Sher Singh SAD candiate from Jalabad in Ferozepur district has won by second largest margin of 44077 votes while Captain Kanwaljit Singh former SAD minister has won by third largest margin of 42651 votes. Two more SAD candiates Raminder Singh Bularia from Amritsar(South) and Didar Singh Bhatti have respectively got 24808 and 23399 votes.

Rajinder Kaur Bhattal deputy Chief Minister has won by little margin of 248 votes. She has defeated SAD stalwart Prem Singh Chandumajra. Sarwan Singh SAD candidate from Phillaur has won seat by 273 votes. Dinesh Kumnar of BJP has won by merely 328 votes.


Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has won the seat by margin of 32750 votes. SAD president Parkash Singh Badal has won the seat by meagre margin of 9187 votes.

BJP's Navjot Singh Sidhu bagged the Amritsar LOK SABHA SEAT.

Even the History of Punjab says that the same party hasnt ruled of two cosecutive sessions.
no matter they have done good or bad.
I think the Congress govt wasnt that bad last session.
Amrinder's govt did a lot for the betterment of Punjab.
Lets hope Good from the new Akali Govt.

hawww hawww eda di koi gall nahi, my cousin was the legislative for the past 5 yrs from beas, he won last time and he has a mad good reputation there, its just that one event killed it this time.
