Recently stepping out with 18-year-old Nick Jonas, Delta ensured her pic would be splashed across magazine front pages in the US, not least because of the eight-year age gap. Super-famous Nick looked smitten as the pair left an LA movie theatre together, and last week they flew on a private jet to vacation in Bali.
2 Make friends with Perez Hilton
The self-styled ‘Queen of all Media', online gossip columnist Perez Hilton counts Katy Perry, Rihanna and Lady Gaga among his close personal friends. And with his website attracting over 34m visitors a month, one post from Perez really can put a would-be starlet's name on the map.
3 Tweet about your celeb pals
Delta's all about reminding us that her mobile's bulging with A-list numbers - and if the paps aren't around to snap her with a star, then she'll tweet her 110,000 followers about it. "Loved seeing @benjaminmadden today," she wrote, after visiting a tattoo parlour with the Good Charlotte rocker. And she also couldn't resist posting a pic of herself with Nick in April, declaring, "Loved creating with the incredibly talented @nickjonas."
4 Do a reality TV show
Not yet a big enough name to land her own reality TV show, Delta won an instant 21 million viewers, when she scored a singing spot on hit US reality show, Dancing with the Stars. The singer duetted with crooner Michael Bolton, and soon found herself a Twitter trending topic, mentioned in tweets such as, "Never heard of Delta Goodrem but after hearing her incredible voice tonight will definitely be checking her out."
5 Be nice!
Keen to retain her deserved reputation as a nice girl, Delta decided not to bite back during a recent run-in with Nick Jonas' ex, Miley Cyrus. After a friend of Delta's revealed, "Delta loves Miley and is a big fan of her music," a source close to the Hannah Montana star sniffed, "Miley doesn't even know who Delta is" - a side-swipe Delts has decided to ignore.
