A residential building on Tuesday collapsed in Mumbai's Ghatkopar suburb.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said many people were feared trapped.
So far, nine persons have been rescued and over 30 are still feared trapped.
A rescue operation is underway.
