In one of the biggest seizures of contraband in Punjab, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) sleuths seized 75 kg of heroin worth Rs.375 crore in the international market, an official said.
The drug was seized from Amritsar-Tarn Taran road, around 250 km from here. "Working on a tip-off, we laid a trap and arrested one person named Satnam Singh. We have also impounded a car and seized 75 kg of heroin. He is one of the notorious smugglers of this area," said a DRI source.
