2 blasts in Pakistan kill 10,injure 25

Ten people were killed and 25 injured in two blasts that rocked the northwestern Pakistani city of Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday.

According to reports, three policemen were among the dead.

The reports also say that first bomb was planted while second was a suicide attack. Ten people were killed in the second blast near a college in Dera Ismail Khan but there were no casualties in first blast.

The second blast occurred about 10 minutes after the first one, the reports say. The second explosion occurred when police personnel reached the site.

Strict security measures had been put in place in Dera Ismail Khan for the Islamic month of Muharram, during which Pakistan has often been rocked by sectarian violence in the past.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
