Recently in last couple of weeks, Canadian govt has rejected visa for many suspicious Indian officials, including 1 BSF officer, 1 SSP Patiala, IB officials and Army officers.
Thanks to canadian embassy and much apreciation to canadian authorities for strongly rejecting their visa.
These guys should get to know that humanity is still alive in other parts of the world. These officer's past unhumanly attrocities against Sikh youth should haunt them for rest of their lives.
I wish that all other foreign embassies should also deal strictly with them.
Few excrepts from the rejection letter by Canadian Embassy:
To SSP Patiala (Ranbir Singh Khattra): "there is reasonable grounds to believe that Khattra must be fully aware of the widespread, systematic extra-judicial killings and human rights violations by the Punjab Police during the operations but he did not intervene to stop them. You are at the very least willfully blind to the crime against humanity committed by the Punjab Police in Amritsar district. During the investigation, arrest and interrogation, while your posting, you may have been directly involved or at the very least help the increase the effectiveness of the Punjab Police in Amritsar district at the time when a large number of police forces in the area was involved in commission of crime against humanity."
To BSF official (Fateh Singh): "As per open source research, the BSF is a violent paramilitary unit stationed in the areas that the Government of India considers to be sensitive. The BSF has engaged in systematic attacks on civilians and has been responsible for systematically torturing suspected criminals.... You voluntarily joined the BSF as constable in 1975 and were promoted to a Head Constable in 1993. You have admitted to being aware that the BSF was responsible for committing crimes against humanity but gave no indication that you disassociated yourself from them and remained with the organisation for 25 years until you voluntarily retired in 2000. Given the above, there are reasonable grounds to believe you are a member of the inadmissible class of persons in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act."
To IB official (S.S sidhu): "Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which bars members of organisations that have engaged, or will engage, in terrorism, instigating subversion by force of any government or espionage."
