Xiaomi Mi Note 2, New Mi 5 Variant Tipped in Leaked Details

Xiaomi is reportedly working on the next-generation Mi Note smartphone alongside a new variant of the flagship Mi 5. According to the new details, the alleged Mi Note 2 will come in three models - standard, high, and top-end.

Gizmo China reports that the exact innards of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 are not available; though it tips some features expected to be featured on the new handset. According to the leaked details via a Weibo source, the alleged standard Mi Note 2 variant will feature single rear camera setup, Hi-Fi chip, and will support quick charging. The high Mi Note 2 variant will pack a dual camera setup at the back in addition to the standard version.

The top Mi Note 2 variant is said to sport a curved screen display and will support similar features as the standard and high versions. The report also speculates that the standard version will include 4GB of RAM while the high and top versions will pack 6GB of RAM.

Coming to the new Xiaomi Mi 5 variant, the Mi 5s is said to arrive in the second half of the year. The smartphone will feature "pressure-sensitive display" which is expected to work same as Apple's 3D Touch. Some of the other rumoured features on the Xiaomi Mi 5s include Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a dual rear camera setup. My Drivers claims that the smartphone will sport a 5.15-inch full-HD display and will pack 6GB of RAM.

Xiaomi recently made the first Chinese developer ROM available to download. The company made the version 6.6.16 of MIUI 8 China Developer ROM available and also revealed the changelog.

टेक्नोलॉजी कंपनी शाओमी लगातार सुर्खियों में बने रहने का कोई ना कोई बहाना ढूंढ ही लेती है। शाओमी गुरुवार को अपने एमआई बाइक से पर्दा उठाएगी। इस बीच कंपनी के दो हैंडसेट शाओमी एमआई 5एस और शाओमी एमआई नोट 2 के बारे में जानकारियां सामने आई हैं।

सबसे पहले बात शाओमी एमआई 5एस की। कंपनी ने शाओमी एमआई 5 को कुछ ही महीने पहले रिलीज किया था। पता चला है कि कंपनी ने इसके अगले वेरिेएंट पर काम करना शुरू भी कर दिया है। चीन की एक वेबसाइट एमआई ड्राइवर्स के मुताबिक इसे एमआई 5एस के नाम से जाना जाएगा और इसे साल के दूसरी छमाही में लॉन्च किए जाने की उम्मीद है।

नाम से साफ है कि नए हैंडसेट में एमआई 5 की तुलना में कोई क्रांतिकारी बदलाव नहीं किया जाएगा। लेकिन इसमें कुछ नया होगा। इसमें प्रेशर-सेंसेटिव डिस्प्ले है। यह कुछ हद तक ऐप्पल के 3डी टच की तरह काम करेगा। दावा किया गया है कि एमआई 5एस में क्वालकॉम के अल्ट्रासोनिक फिंगरप्रिंट सेंसर का इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा और इसके रियर हिस्से पर डुअल-कैमरा सेटअप होगा। इसमें 6 जीबी रैम होने की संभावना है, कम से कम टॉप वेरिएंट में। बाकी सबकुछ एमआई 5 जैसा होगा, डिज़ाइन भी। इसका मतलब है कि एमआई 5एस में 5.15 इंच का 1080 पिक्सल रिज़ॉल्यूशन का टचस्क्रीन होगा।


एमआई 5एस मात्र एक हैंडसेट नहीं है जिसपर शाओमी काम कर रही है। इसके अलावा साल 2015 में लॉन्च किए गए एमआई नोट फैबलेट के नए वेरिएंट को भी लाने की तैयारी है।

इससे पहले शाओमी एमआई नोट 2 की कीमत और डिस्प्ले को लेकर जानकारी सामने आ चुकी है। अब एक नई रिपोर्ट में दावा किया गया है कि इस हैंडसेट को जल्द ही चीन में लॉन्च किया जाएगा।

दावा किया गया है कि इस हैंडसेट के दो नहीं तीन हार्डवेयर वेरिएंट होंगे। स्टेंडर्ड मॉडल में सिंगल प्राइमरी कैमरा और आम क्विक चार्ज़ फंक्शन होगा। दूसरा वर्ज़न डुअल कैमरा सेटअप और सुपर क्विक चार्ज़िंग फ़ीचर के साथ आएगा। और आखिरी वर्ज़न में सैमसंग के एज लाइनअप की तरह कर्व्ड डिस्प्ले होगा।

इसके अलावा कोई नई जानकारी सामने नहीं आई है। एक बात साफ कर दें कि ये सिर्फ दावे हैं। इन पर पूरी तरह से विश्वास करना गलत होगा।

Xiaomi Mi5S and Mi Note 2 Rumoured to Launch with Snapdragon 821 and up to 8GB RAM

Xiaomi Mi5S and Mi Note 2 are rumoured to be the first devices to launch with the Snapdragon 821 SoC. Not only this, but the devices share similar specs and features according to the rumours on the interweb.


Earlier today, reports from Chinese websites pointed to a possibility of the Xiaomi Mi5S and Mi Note 2, the next in their respective series offerings by Xiaomi, would come packaged with impressive specs. If the rumours are to be believed, the Mi Note 2 would be launched in up to 3 variants, while there is little known with regards to the Mi5S.

Both the devices are reportedly using a similar pressure sensitive display, Qualcomm’s Ultrasonic fingerprint technology, up to 8GB of RAM, dual cameras, HiFi audio and fast charging. That might seem like a mouthful, but it is an impressive spec-list that has been rumoured.

There is one slight difference however, the dual camera set-up would only be applicable to the Xiaomi Note 2’s higher end variants, with the basic model being manufactured with a single rear camera. The rumours further describe the Mi Note 2 as having a 3D curved display, not dissimilar to those on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and older S6 edge devices, but there is no confirmation as to whether this display is available for all 3 variants of the device.

Once again, these are rumours with no evidence to back up their claims and we have to wait and watch how true it all is. At the end of the day, if Xiaomi does make true on these specs, it would be a solid move by the Chinese OEM, if not, well, one can sure dream.
