Why we need religion ?

What I am asking is :
Do the Sikh principles appeal to you because you are sure Nanak existed?
What if if one has not History of Nanak to lean on ?
Does Guru Granth becomes irrelevent ?

Thats what I am asking.

Thanks

jattpunjabi,

As far as I am concerned I will continue to follow what I follow.
Just as I would continue to believe in gravity even if one proves newton never exist...

The principles enshrined in the Granth would still be relevent for me.

Thanks

And yes...

Though I would follow the principles enshrined therein in the Guru Granth
I will continue to question some of them...

Especially the one concerning the giving up of the quest of Maya and
the 'mind as negativity' principle of the Guru Granth is something I question

Thanks
