Toshiba is updating its Dynabook line of notebooks in Japan, with new models ranging in size from a 10.1 inch netbook to 16 inch notebooks, with a few 11.6 inch thin and light models thrown in for good measure.

The Toshiba Dynabook UX/24M is a 10.1 inch netbook with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, and 250GB hard drive. It weighs 2.6 pounds and has a 3.6 hour battery. The netbook comes with an integrated WiMAX module and Microsoft Office Personal 2010. It also features 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi and has a case design that looks an awful lot like the Toshiba Mini netbooks sold in the US.

In the 11.6 inch range, Toshiba is offering the Dynabook MX/34M and Dynabook MX/36M. Both have 1366 x 768 pixel displays, 2GB of RAM, 320G hard drives 6.4 hour batteries, WiMAX, and Office Personal 2010 and both weigh about 3.3 pounds with a 6.4 hour battery. but while the MX/34M has a 1.06GHz Intel Celeron U3400 ULV processor, the MX/36M has a 1.2GHz Intel Core i3-330UM ULV CPU.

I suspect it won’t be too long before we start to see similar netbooks and notebooks show up in the US under the Toshiba Satellite brand name.
