y u want to knoe dis ...? i mean r u concerned with health issues , religious issues or social issues ...?
wuts ur basic idea behind this question..???
seems like u want sum legal orders regarding non vegeterian food in punjab ....
im punjab major religions r as follows and ths wut thr followers do ...
muslims :: pork is prohibited
hindu:: cow meat is prohibited (and its legally banned)
christians:: nuthing is prohibited
sikhs:: all depends upon the intentions ......the cause while only halal is prohibited
**i just wrote wut my frnds from respective religions told me...feel free to correct me

there isn't any clear prohibited thing for sikhs...but some people choose not to eat beef

When I used to eat meat, I ate everything beef, pork, chicken, lamb, fish, prawn, duck, turkey, rabbit, snake, crabs, lobster..

Now I am vegetarian from last 5+ years.

I realized: best thing is meat naa khao, apne muh de swad lai kyun bekasur pashu di hatya karni.
Ohni hi innocent gaa aa jinna murga....koi beham bharam ni

han j assi kise muslim country or christian contry hoiye te sabh diffrent hona c ...

sikhs have thr code of conduct SGGS and the other one is rehat maryada (which has sum issues with taksal and few more sikh agencies)
no whr in SGGS thrs any kind of furman or tuk which prohibts the person from eating meat ....i wld like to add here that one of the bhagats who has his bani in SGGS was professionally butcher.(dont ask ur parents ...sachi eda ee aa lol).......discrimination in eating meat is sensless and just not eating one kind of meat is regarded stoopid in SGGS (kise din beef ne court ch racism di petiton paa deni lol)....

beef taan karkey nahi khana kyunki cow paviter hundi aa....this thing is just sensless and who follow it is an idiot <--> according to gurbani
bakki rehat just prohibts halal
while SGGS doesnt prohibt any kind of food unless and untill it is injurious to health
