Sharp has just introduced two 3D Android smartphones, the Sharp Galapagos 003SH and the Sharp Galapagos 005SH.
Both Sharp glasses-free 3D smartphones are packs a 3.8-inch touchscreen display with uses ASV (Sharp Advanced Super View TFT) technology, resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) and support for multitouch technology and required no glasses to view the 3D content.
The Sharp Galapagos 003SH is sports a 9.6 megapixel CCD camera with autofocus and 720p HD video recording, 400MB of internal memory, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. Newly Sharp Galapagos 003SH 3D smartphone is boasts a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and works under Android OS 2.2 Froyo.
The Sharp Galapagos 005SH is a side slide phone with sliding QWERTY keyboard, 512MB of onboard memory, and an 8 megapixel camera.
It is pre-loaded with 3D content such as Mega Man, Resident Evil and Ghosts ‘n Goblins games, as well as 3D movies; Shrek Forever and ugly I am.
Both 3D smartphones will be sold only in Japan via SoftBank, local mobile operator. Sharp Galapagos 003SH will be available in December 2010, while the Sharp Galapagos 005SH is February 2011.
