England named three fresh faces in their 12-man squad to take on Sri Lanka in the first of the two Tests beginning in Lord's, London on the 12th of this month. All-rounder Chris Jordan, opener Sam Robson and middle-order batsman, Moeen Ali are the players in line to make their Test debut, should they picked in the starting XI for the first Test.
There were also call-ups from Liam Plunkett, who last played a Test for England in 2007, and wicket-keeper Matt Prior, who was dropped for the last two Tests of the Ashes 2013-14 series, Down Under.
Six players who featured in England's last Test match, January 3-5 in Sydney, are missing.
