Just days after Prabhu Deva opened up and confessed his love for actress Nayantara and also confirmed that they will get married soon, an unexpected honour has come the duo’s way. The current ‘it’ couple of southern film industry won the Close-Up Super Jodi award at South Scope Cine Awards held in Hyderabad on Sunday evening.
Prabhu and Nayan walked in together at the event and sat side by side. He was casually dressed in a jeans and shirt, while Nayan looked demure in a saree.
After receiving the award, Prabhu said: “I thank South Scope for giving me this award. I don't know what she (Nayan) feels, but I feel I'm the luckiest person.”
Nayantara was less verbal and said: “This is really unexpected. I'm very happy to receive this award.”
The couple was the focus of everyone’s attention during the whole evening. They are likely to tie the knot by the end of this year.
