Leave aside costumes of artists...as well as Guru Nanak Sahab...such things can be expected from a person who is not an experienced film producer like steven spielberg, james cameroon etc. and by no way he can replicate his research on history or costumes or some of the events on the big screen that efficiently. He should not be degraded for that and certainly the film should not be banned for that.
His efforts should be properly rewarded as he got guts to make a movie against the poor thinking of sikh clergy who believe that Gurus cannot be shown on big screen in any form...not even animated. The movie has rightly shown Guru Sahab preserving the sancitity. if such efforts are not being done in future, death bells are ringing very loudly for Sikhism, because no one can contribute enough time for listening to babas doing katha from Gurudwaras. The producer and the whole team should be applauded.
Further, who doesnt know the life story of Guru Nanak Sahab. I guess whosoever has been born in sikh family do know about everything what this film shows. same was the case with "Chaar Sahibzaade".. However showing the same on big screen affects differently and in very positive way...rather than listening it the form of story from your grandmother or in the form of katha..Childhood lost and so does the stories heard during childhood. AND katha has Nil impact on anyone these days, firstly due to time shortage and secondly the people doing katha do not possess the skills to keep you tied for long (Ofcourse untill you listen to Shri Sant Singh ji Maskeen, The lone modern day katha vaachak who had the capability to make you sit for hours). Hence Cinema should be properly guided by sikh clergy on history and maryaada and let they also learn that being narrow minded will kill the very idealogy for whom they call themselves the pracharaks or messengers.
Regards
