A dashing and handsome Maharaja Bhupinder Singh inspects a Gaurd of Honor during World War I. Patiala State was the largest princely kindom in the British India empire and had a semi-independent status by treaty. Patiala stretched a huge expanse of land from Tibet to a point near the Pak border.
