Overall the education level has dropped. The title is a farce and a pathetic attempt to disguise this. That 90 something number in the title is a farce especially when even those enrolled in grade 5 cant even handle grade 2 level books.

More than 80% NGOs are ran by the wives of bureaucrats and politicians, because there is tens of millions of rupees in grants ever year from GOI and foreign institutions.
This NGO, who gave this report, might be of the wife of some education minister or its friends or someone who needs money in grants from government budget

Well' if that's the case shouldn't they show much lower percentage? I mean in this case the bigger the percentage(improvement) the lower money they will need from the grants.

Bande di apni apni soch aa. When i read this article i see 70% positive. When you read it maybe you see 70%-80% negative? I can't change the way you think and vice versa.
To prove your point you can drop 100s of stats so can i. I don't see this conversation moving forward at all.
May be we can agree to disagree. lol......

BTW, india nu criticize karke ohde naal dushmani nahi kadi jaa rahi. Waise v jo mitthe naal marda ohnu zehar den di ki lor aa.
India is dying everyday, either on roads, or in diseases or lack of food.
India is nothing without Indians, those poor indians who work hard to meet their end meets; but GOI is by the poor, for the elite and of the elite.

You are not getting my point, which is plain and simple, India has to change if we want to see bhartiyas (not elite indians) to be happy.


I will never approve of India's socialist capitalism. It has worse of both worlds. Socialism itself brings lack of transparency in govt functioning and empowers the bureaucracy to tweak laws, exploit loopholes in favor of beneficiaries. Beneficiaries are those rich and elite who exploit socialism and society in the name of capitalism.
Either make India 100% capitalist, let everything be open and transparent. Everyone run a fair race and most competent be the winner. Or make it totally socialist where govt owns all the business, and onus of food, education, life, death of each and every citizen.

But this cocktail is not good, it creates economic disparities which will result in all sort of problems including the current farmers suicides.

Does G8 or CWG matters for the adivasi tribe of Andhra or the deepening of their bore-well matters for them?

ya somewhere you are right but Capitalism doesnt work everywhere whereas Socialism is nt about control over everyone .........capitalism work for rich people... Modern capitalist states are all welfare states...........many ppl are dying through voilence nd other preventable causes under this whereas socialsm has never come under existence ............ppl have alws currepted it Communism is not accepted but Socailsm is !!!

Since US politicians get elected by constantly promising to save citizens from pain,.eeension f th ety principle.....This is very diff from Indira Gandhi socialism. .........Her nationalisation aimed to give the state a stranglehold on industrial production, and seize the commanding heights of the economy.............. as we have heared Rome was not built in a day... India di only problem is dirty politics ..i don't say India is perfect country but we can not even ignore the progress it has made in last 60 yrs No other country after 60 yrs of independence has achived this much ....so only pointing out the demerits we should or i request even we should appreciate what we(exclude politics) are doing ...

i agree India has 1000000..... problems and we are still arent able to cure them because of this bloody SYSTEM..

If many ppl are praising it and some ppl are criticizing or exposing few things. Accept that criticism too.

You can't say no other country has done that.
Germany was under commie rule (east germany) till 1989 (fall of german wall). They are already in G8.
Japan economy was shattered in 1945 2nd world war and they are super power today, although they have high suicide rates (their failure).
