I Reached Up To Dream

There was a time that I
thought I couldn't dream.
I would sit by the window.
Life wasn't like it seemed.
Hollow thoughts filled my head.
My dreamy thoughts
drifted off to bed.
Then one day the telephone rang,
as my eyes looked up to the sky.
I saw my dream float down to me,
as I reached up to touch the sky.
